How did we get here?
Sometimes you arrive at a destination in life and can look back at the turns that led you there…
As a kid growing up on a large tree farm, tree work runs in my blood! I was taught to safely operate a chainsaw at the age of 12. Over the years, I've removed thousands of douglas fir, oak, maple, and cherry trees and pruned thousands more for both health and aesthetics. As a teenager, my grandfather taught me to take time and to view the tree from multiple sides at a distance. I'm proud to bring his pruning expertise into my practice. Then, as a young adult, I served as a volunteer firefighter on a heavy rescue truck. Many of the high angle rope rescue skills from my training and practice also serve well in tree work. As more and more people began requesting arborist help with their trees, I responded by creating The Wood Cracker. I love working with trees! Through this work, I'm honoring my childhood, my grandfather, and my former fire department by bringing all of the skills invested in me to the service of my community.
